multimedia comunity toolkit
The OK toolkit is a wellbeing tool designed for international students experiencing homesickness as they start living independently for the first time. The included tools will help users accommodate to their new home through exploration and communication activities.

01 Background
According to “The Condition of Education 2015” from the U.S. Department of Education, it is said the "undergraduate enrollment in degree-granting postsecondary institutions [increased by] 46 percent from 1990 ”. In correlation to this, there is also an increasing percentage of students experiencing forms of depression resulted from homesickness and the difficulty in adapting to independence during college.
10-15% of the homesick have experienced it to such an extent that it interferes with their daily activities. ”

The OK box is used in tandem with the app, where students can write messages and respond to their fellow peers. This geocaching, pen pal activity connects students through both physical and virtual spaces, allowing them to meet people in the best ways possible.
